RICS Rossia - our History
print* RICS Rossia has currently over 350 qualified members (MRICS and FRICS) and over 80 trainees and students.
* RICS Rossia has had its official Launch event on April 14, 2008 in Swissotel Krasnye Holmy, Moscow which has been attended by over 80 professionals, RICS staff, Chairman RICS Europe and RICS President.
* A new Board has been appointed in 2011 and now includes 9 members + 1 representative from Ukraine (pls see CONTACTS section for more info)
* RICS Rossia has been holding local Final Assessments since November 2007 (pls see the schedule for Year 2012 in "FINAL ASSESSMENTS" section)
* Most popular specialisms: Valuation, Quantity Surveying & Construction, Project Management, Property Finance & Investment.
2012
New RICS Rossia & CIS Board Members were elected. There are 9 professionals from different areas – Valuation, Project management, Quantity Surveying. Please see them in the "Contacts" => "RICS Rossia & CIS Board" section.
In March, 2012 RICS Rossia & CIS Built Environment Professional Group has been set up.
In April, 2012 RICS Rossia & CIS Commercial Property Group has been set up.
2011
RICS Rossia got new staff members:
- Alexey Babichenko, Business Development Manager, Built Environment
- Elena Vago, Business Development Manager, Capital Markets.
- Tatyana Zhelyabkina, Administrator.
On December 15, RICS Rossia & CIS held a Networking Cocktail for all RICS members, trainees and students.
2010
The beginning of October was marked by the opening of the new RICS Russia & CIS representative office in Moscow. The new office is located at Office 443, 2 Europe Square, Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel & Business Centre, Moscow, 121059
In order to steer the above process, on July 14, 2010 RICS Rossia & CIS Board has formed a local Valuation Professional Group that will be responsible for the development of the above initiatives, to include, for example, the publication of Valuation Information Alerts and Papers.
The RICS Red Book has been translated into Russian.
2009
February 2009 was marked by the visit of Mr Louis Armstrong, RICS CEO, who met with four key Russian associations and awarded the new members of RICS with Diplomas
As of February 2009 RICS Rossia has 41 active licensed assessors and is able to fully support FA sessions locally.
On April 22, 2009 the first Board of the National Group has been appointed (pls see Board members in CONTACTS section) and the National Group name has been updated to include CIS countries (now addressed as "RICS Rossia & CIS")
On June 25, 2009 - the first CPD event (professional seminar) was held in Moscow that had been attended by over 130 professionals from Russia and Ukraine (Pls read more on this in EVENTS section)
2008
First RICS Rossia Country Manager has joined January 21, 2008.
An active student -> graduate ->member conversion plan has been created with the academic staff and the students on the RICS accredited course at Finance Academy in Moscow
Close links has been established with all the key players in the market (employers, government agencies, press, etc.)
The RICS Red Book has been translated into Russian and officially introduced at RICS Rossia Launch event.
As of June 2008 RICS Rossia started to receive applications from Ukrainian candidates and from that time property professionals from Kiev, Odessa and Kharkiv started to sit their Final Assessment interviews in Moscow.
2007
In view of the significant development potential in Russia, Luciano Capaldo MRICS, Chairman RICS Europe and Liliane Van Cauwenbergh, Director RICS Europe, met with the major employers in Moscow on 21 June 2007. Also, they visited the Finance Academy and met with the rector, the academic staff and the students on the RICS accredited undergraduate course "Finance and Credit " with Specialisation on Valuation of the Property.
Together with the Board of RICS Rossia, Liliane Van Cauwenbergh has worked out the plan to establish an active RICS presence in Russia, with the official opening of an RICS office in Moscow and the recruitment of a Country Manager
