Dear members,

We would like to inform you that Eric Martens FRICS, Chairman of RICS Nederland has decided to step down as Chairman, as he believes that the time has come to hand over the baton to another member. We would like to thank Eric for all he has done for RICS in the past few years as Chairman of RICS Nederland and hope that he will remain an active member of the National Group.

As a result, we are now launching the application process for a new Chair of RICS Nederland. The role of the Chair is to lead the further development of the RICS strategy for Nederland and actively support the implementation of this strategy, collaborating closely with the local Board and staff, in the context of the RICS global strategy. In addition, the position will involve liaison on a regular basis with the RICS Europe Board. The Chair is expected to have significant leadership experience, as well as the required time to dedicate to the role. A competent knowledge of the English language is essential to allow communication with the global RICS. The Chair’s term will be for three years, with the possibility to extend for a further three year term.
