RICS in continental Europe

print

Based in Brussels since 1993, the European headquarters has offices and staff all around continental Europe. RICS Europe is growing fast in all European countries, from Germany to Russia, Central and Eastern Europe to the Nordic region, the Baltics to Turkey.

As at 31 January 2011, RICS Europe had 10,419 members in continental Europe, spread over the different categories of membership:

  • 4,784 qualified members - these members can add the letters ‘MRICS’ (Member of RICS) or ‘FRICS’ (Fellow of RICS) after their name
  • 1,410 RICS trainees - potential members who are preparing for their APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) Final Assessment
  • 4,225 RICS students - professionals who are studying on an RICS accredited degree

Combining global and local support to members, we work to:

  • Raise the status of the chartered surveying profession in European markets
  • Establish high educational and professional standards across Europe
  • Represent the profession within the European institutions
  • Provide expert policy advice on European property and built environment issues

"For CB Richard Ellis Bourdais it is a major asset to have chartered surveyors in our ranks. International clients recognise that chartered surveyors assure the highest quality of service, especially in the field of valuation where their stamp is particularly respected. Our clients value the professionalism and standards that chartered surveyors embody who also act as a benchmark to othercolleagues."
