Our first CPD event in the New Year will be held on 6 February, when we will discuss “The cost and benefits of sustainability”.

As usual, attendance will count towards your continuous professional development hours.

Topics to be discussed:

• Much has been said about the need to be “green” but what is the value of the initiatives, why should it be considered and what is the development cost of such initiatives?
• How the CEE/SEE markets appear to have suddenly woken to the idea that green is good but to question if it a vogue or a sustainable trend
• The impact, the focus on areas of the developments which make a difference to the sustainability rating and the gauge the cost benefit of considering the various sustainability rating levels

Our guest speaker will be Mike Pearce FRICS from EC Harris UK. Mike spent over 6 years living in Warsaw (1998 – 2005) building and running EC Harris’ award winning operation in all CEE countries and helped to establish the EC Harris Romanian operation 5 years ago. Presently Mike lives in England but works across Europe with developers and investors who operate internationally. Mike’s main focus continues to be the CEE/SEE region, specifically regarding to the retail, commercial and hospitality sectors.
